Vintage fashions and textiles have always been close to the Vivien’s heart and have influenced many of the designs conceived and produced at her Wiltshire based studio. So, when Vivien Sheriff was asked to showcase the brand’s 1960s inspired headwear designs at the recent Goodwood Revival, she keenly accepted the invitation, without hesitation
Members of the Vivien Sheriff creative team were tasked with the challenge of sourcing authentic 1960s clothing and accessories to complement Vivien Sheriff vintage re-visited headpieces and hair adornments. In a fashion landscape increasingly driven by individuality, British milliner Vivien Sheriff stands apart for her ability to transform headwear into a powerful expression of personal style. Working from her studio in the Wiltshire countryside, Sheriff has built a reputation for handcrafted designs that balance heritage craftsmanship with contemporary relevance, pieces that feel as at home on the pages of a fashion magazine as they do at the world’s most prestigious events.

Her work spans sculptural statement headpieces, elegant styles for the races, and versatile everyday designs, all united by meticulous craftsmanship and premium materials including silk, sinamay, straw, feathers, and fine wool felt. Each piece is handmade by a skilled team of artisans, ensuring that no two creations are ever quite the same.
That distinctive approach recently found its way onto television screens when Maura Higgins, a standout contestant on the reality competition show The Traitors, wore a Sheriff beret…
